Petals deep pink with retuse apex. Anthers with purple/dark dehiscence lines. Sepals with (relatively) long mucro. Long spreading hairs. A few plants found in two locations among 1000s of Geranium retrorsum. Location approximate.
2 x blue post-occipital blue spots are a key ID feature. 3rd photo (full size) shows what it is holding with two front legs, and eating, has legs. This observation & 4669 are of the same individual & good for ID.
I returned to this spot on Jan 23 2014 and obtained pic3 which is the ID feature (bracts in many rows, large at the top and getting progressively smaller to the bottom). Plants about 50cm tall growing in a short sandy section of the track.
