Known as the Western Slopes Crimson Rosella, this colour variation is brought about from the hybridization of the Crimson Rosella (elegans) and Yellow Rosella (flaveolus) races of the Crimson Rosella. The Yellow and Crimson Rosella come together in a broad band from Albury to Gundagai, being the western slopes of the Great Dividing Range.
Long time reader, first time uploader. I am fairly confident this is a hybrid between Acacia paradoxa and Acacia stictophylla- both species are found in the reserve (Hillview Bushland Reserve). There were a number of similar individuals in close proximity. Please excuse my hand!
