Resting on Dianella admixta and Kangaroo Grass. Using Kangaroo Grass as a vantage point for seeing other individuals and other species, all of whom it chased then returned to about the same spot. I saw 4-5 individuals flying around this area (about 20m).
These two caterpillars are both thought to be T. lutea but this is not known for sure. They were found by myself and Ross Field and preliminary ID by Ross.
Both were on Lomandra filiformis subsp. coriacea, about 500m apart on the rail reserve.
