Common in this forest over the last 4-6 weeks. With my limited fungi field skills I don't know what the species is. Looks close to Amanita ochrophylloides. Fruiting body c. 120mm diameter in this case, but many are larger.
Female (hind) Reed Deer captured on trail cam. In private land next to Wombat State Forest at Spring Hill 3444. Have seen up to 6 hinds at a time. None tagged or marked, living feral but possibly farm escapes originally.
A treasure of a tree near Spring Hill. There is something special about the distribution of Snow Gum in the Macedon Ranges Shire, from the sedimetary hills above Deep Creek, below Darraweit Guim, to Newham, to Camels Hump, to Spring Hill. Wonderful.
