I saw this wasp fly from a tree carrying the katydid. It landed near a hole in the ground and dropped the katydid. The wasp then went into the hold and did a bit of excavating and then dragged the katydid into the hole.
I counted 17 individuals of these leaf beetles actively crawling all over a large gum tree, with a few pairs mating. There were also some black eggs laid in formation on several leaves of the same tree, possibly from this species. Five photos uploaded.
