  1. Russell Best  Tall and greyish throughout, including flower buds, is S. quadridentatus. Common on disturbed sites, roadsides, etc. Other greyish looking Senecios are rarely as tall (except sometimes S. phelleus), always less greyish at buds and usually have auricles at the base of the leaf).
