Heathwren visiting pond on warm morning. Rufous rump and no striation of back makes it either Chestnut-rumped Heathwren or Shy Heathwren. Advised by Ian Morgans that it is almost certainly Chestnut-rumped Heathwren. Habitat of heathy understorey with Silver Banksia and Triodia.
Captured on a remote survey camera. Did not visit the water to drink, but may have been curious. In following days it appeared and was feeding on the flowers of the Hibbertia plants seen in photo foreground. Advised by Ian Morgans that it is an immature Blue-winged Parrot.
