Poor photos (long way away) but Cuckoo-shrike is new for my property and Riddells Creek. Gill & I have been hearing a new call for a few days. Rosella has only been recorded once previously at my place too.
These 7 bird species were in & around this paddock tree over a 20 minute period. Also, 2 Indian Mynas flew off as I approached. The 3rd pic shows another bird I was unable to identify - short tail, chased off by New Hollands immediately on arrival.
Pair spotted roosting on a dead Blackwood, among Eucalyptus aromaphloia. Second pic shows wing-marks on our window - the birds are feasting on Rain Moths (Hepialidae) on the windows at night at this time of year.
